Jimmy Cohn

FOUNDER & President

Jimmy grew up in Chicago playing in his dad’s set up box factory, originally on the Northside, before moving to the Southside in the early 70’s. The family business was started in 1925 by Jimmy’s grandfather, Aaron Cohn. After WW2, Jimmy’s dad Lenny and his brother Jerry joined the family business.

Another generation came along when Jimmy and his brother Ron joined Paragon Paper Box Co after college. After their dad passed away in 1983 Ron went on to become a manufacturer of board games and other fine packaging.

In 1982, Jimmy joined Graphic Converting Inc in Chicago, the company started in 1975 by die-cutting guru John Tinnon. GCI grew to become one of the largest finishing plants in the USA.

Jimmy became an expert in the carton, foil stamping, diecutting and pop display industries, doing work for Anheuser Busch, Barton Brands, Jim Beam Brands, all the major trading card companies as well as cosmetic clients in the Chicago area and around the country. After a 15 year run at GCI, Jimmy moved to Los Angeles and started JC Print Packaging & Display, Inc.

JC Print has been a supplier to John Paul Mitchell Systems for over 20 years and many other So Cal cosmetic, haircare and food companies. JC provides structural design and manufactures folding cartons, set up boxes, specialty packaging, Litho laminated corrugated packaging, corrugated displays and permanent displays in acrylic, wood and metal material.

With over 40 years of experience, JC Print Packaging & Display, Inc. continues to offer its clients unmatched service,  fine quality, competitive pricing, and relationships that continue for decades.
